COMPAS Re-entry is a state-of-the-art risk and needs assessment tool, specifically assessing the risks and needs of offenders leaving prison and returning to the community. COMPAS Re-entry uses scales to score individual offenders on a variety of behavioral and psychological constructs that have very high relevance for decision making with inmates during the transition from prison to community.
Aside from the use of scales with relevance to inmates leaving prison and returning to the community, the software features and functionality are similar to Adult COMPAS. The COMPAS Re-entry software is also built upon a database which tracks case planning, placement outcomes, allows ad hoc report generation of offender information, program participation, caseload termination reasons and other key organizational data.
