Innovative Science sits at the foundation of everything we do at Northpointe. With 5 PhD’s on staff to provide the ongoing research and analysis required to support both our clients and products, we constantly pursue science supported improvements to provide our clients with the best available solutions including the customization of existing software and the development of new tools and technologies.

As a standard practice Northpointe offers local validation studies to norm the COMPAS tool to local offender populations. We follow up with both 12 and 24 month outcome studies to further test the predictive validity of the tool on the local population.

In our quest towards constant improvement in providing the necessary evidence to support policies and programs, Northpointe research offers anything from basic reliability testing to partnering with our clients to become their outsourced research department.
