Northpointe Researchers Present Scientific Papers at the 2010 Classification Society of North America Annual Meeting

Dr. Tim Brennan and Dr. Markus Breitenbach represented Northpointe at the 2010 Classification Society of North America Annual Meeting held at Washington University in St. Louis June 17-19th. They co-authored and presented two separate papers on the classification work being done at Northpointe. They were as follows:

1) Classifying Criminals: A multi-axial taxonomy of a prison inmate population

2) Validating taxonomic structure using Bayes-Optimal Misclassification Probability Bounds

The two papers were well received and several members of the audience commented on the scientific quality of the work being done at Northpointe.  The Northpointe researchers have been invited to return for the 2011 conference and will be held at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
