NEW TEAM MEMBER, NEAL GOODLOE BRINGS A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE TO NORTHPOINTE INSTITUTE FOR PUBLIC MANAGEMENT
Traverse City, Mich. – September 26, 2008 – Neal Goodloe recently joined the Northpointe Institute for Public Management team as a trainer and consultant. Goodloe has more than 25 years of experience in community corrections as a juvenile case manager, program director, adult probation officer, supervisor and administrator. For the majority of his career Goodloe worked for the Virginia District 9 Probation and Parole Office, where he most recently served as the chief probation officer. In this role, he led a staff of 26 correctional professionals responsible for the effective supervision of approximately 1,300 adult felons placed on probation and parole.
“Neal is a great addition to the diverse and experienced Northpointe team,” said Dave Wells, Northpointe president and CEO. “Neal’s tremendous experience in community corrections will bring new insights and perspectives to our team’s work in the industry.”

For more than 20 years, Goodloe has been designing and conducting training. This focus will continue in his work with Northpointe. He was a founding member of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Drug Court and served on its board of directors for 11 years.
“I am excited to be a part of the Northpointe team,” said Goodloe. “This opportunity will allow me to use my first-hand knowledge to develop new training for our clients, and to build and strengthen the use of evidence-based correctional practices designed to make us all safer, now and in the future.”
